Grants available through our university
When participating in exchange through one our university’s exchange agreements, you are eligible for an exchange grant. The amount of the grant depends on the chosen exchange programme and on the length of the exchange. You can apply for our exchange grants through the SoleGRANT system, which is accessed by first logging in to the SoleMOVE system.
You will get the grant in two parts: the first payment is 80 % of the total grant amount and it is paid before the exchange. The second one is 20 % of the total amount and it is paid after the exchange. To get the second payment you are required to write a report on your training.
You are recommended to request external grants from foundations, organizations, funds, societies, etc. You may request for example OPH grants, country-specific grants, or grants given by organizations such as the Finnish Japanese Society. There are plenty of tips and links available on the Internet. You should also be active and apply in good time because each organization has its own application period.
Applying for a grant from the University of Lapland
Apply for a grant using SoleGRANT that is part of the SoleMOVE system. To draw up your application, sign in to the SoleMOVE system, through which you can access the SoleGRANT application.
The basic data of your application are automatically transferred from the SoleMOVE exchange application to the SoleGRANT exchange application. Add the required information and appendices to the SoleGRANT application, and then send it for processing.
