Printing and scanning
Our university uses the secure printing service FollowMe. You can release print jobs with a printing key from any of the multifunction devices in our premises reserved for student use, and you no more have to carry your papers around. Your print jobs will remain in the print queue for 24 hours. You can access the print queue on all workstations in the ICT rooms: \\layprint01\Turvatulostus.
You can also scan documents to your email with the ScanToMe function on the multifunction devices.
You can register any device or card with a rfid chip, such as your student card or phone, for printing. Printing credits can be purchased at the library.
Registering your printing key
When you use a multifunction device for the first time, it asks you to register your printing key. Place your key on the reader. It is important not to take it off too quickly. The reader will flash a green light when it has recognised your key, and you can then enter your username and password.
You do not need to re-register after you change your password but only when your key is replaced.
