The Master's Degree Programme in Applied Sound Expression allows students to explore sound as an interdisciplinary cultural phenomenon and target of application. Students enchance their applied competence through their sound-related cultural, artistic, technological and project planning skills.
Students also have the chance to apply their expertise in cultural contexts under northern Arctic conditions, when planning and executing interdisciplinary multimedia projects and applications related to sound.
Scope of studies
The programme involves applied sound expression studies (85 credits) and minor studies (35 credits). The former are comprised of sound expression courses, as well as project and research studies. Minor studies can be compiled from the courses offered by our university and by the Lapland University of Applied Sciences.
Note that the programme is only offered in Finnish.
