Lapland University Press (LUP) is an non-profit university press established in 2005. Our focus as a publisher and a specialist unit is on multidisciplinary academic publications. We are happy to help you with any questions you might have about academic publishing.
As a publisher, we focus on Arctic and northern culture and research. Our production falls in line with our university's strategic profile and we are interested in all related manuscripts and book ideas in the fields of jurisprudence, social sciences, education, art and design. We accept both national and international works.
Many of our publications are available in the Open Access Lauda repository.
We publish monographs, article collections and art books. All scientific manuscripts published by us go through our peer review process. We have been granted the right to use the national label for peer-reviewed scholarly publications, which we award the publications that go through an acceptable publishing process.
The Federation of Finnish Learned Societies has ranked us at level 1 in the publication forum classification (Updated 31 Dec 2014). We have also been included in Norwegian and Danish publication channel listings and ranked at level 1 in both systems.
