Information for Applicants

These pages contain information for students who aim to complete a degree or part of their studies at the University of Lapland. From the sidebar menu, you will find information regarding the eligibility, application process and application materials to apply for studies.

The information here has been divided into four categories according to your study goals, therefore you should consult the corresponding category to find detailed information about the application process.

For Bachelor Degree Studies

International applicant who wish to complete a Bachelor's degree at the University of Lapland and who is eligible for university level studies in their home country.

For Master Degree Studies

International applicant who wish to complete a Master's degree at the University of Lapland and who have completed a first degree (normally a bachelor’s degree) in a relevant field of study from an institution of higher education, entitling her/him to apply for master’s degree studies in her/his home country.

For Doctoral Studies

International applicant who wish to complete a Doctoral degree at the University of Lapland and has taken a degree equivalent to the Finnish master’s degree.

For Exchange Studies
(Non-degree seeking students)

International applicant who wish to study at the University of Lapland for a one or two semesters or who wish to participate in the Arctic Studies Programme (ASP).
