Design Connections graduate school 2007-2011
The Design Connections is a joint graduate school of the University of Art and Design and the University of Lapland .
The five year long graduate school has five funded student positions and several status students.
The key objectives of the graduate school are to educate design researchers and experts on the strategic level of design and to increase knowledge about the connections of design with the society.
The research in the graduate school is focused on:
- the cultural connections of design
- the links between welfare, equal participation and design
- design, business and innovation
- the role of design in political decision making.
