NARFU representatives took part in the Expert Commission of the State Duma of Russia on implementation of inclusive education and made a presentation of the Kolarctic “School for all – development of inclusive education”-Project 15. May 2013.
Training seminar “School for All: Development of Inclusive Education” was carried out at the Institute for Psychology and Pedagogy of Murmansk State Humanities University, during which they presented the scheme of conducting the monitoring of interaction between the teachers and children at inclusive classes in different educational situations. International scientific and practical seminar “School for All: experience and opportunities” During the scientific and practical seminar the researchers exchanged the best practices of realization of inclusive education in the region, discussed the perspectives of introducing the system of inclusive education, possible risks and challenges. Presentations of pilot schools were made, reflecting the methodic activities of researchers in each region. The moderator of the seminar was NARFU Professor Natalia Flotskaya. Scientific conference "Voices from the North: calling for inclusion in education" During the conference the researchers and administrators listened to the reports reflecting the general content of inclusive education system in each region, specifics of inclusive education introduction in Russia and Finland. Participants had an opportunity to get acquainted with practices of training and re-training specialists for the inclusive education system. Researchers got valuable consultations regarding the content and structure of study plans and programs, constructing individual educational routes at schools. Project researchers presented research papers, reflecting the main results of work within the project and perspectives of realization of the inclusive education system in regions and they had an opportunity to establish new contacts in the professional field of inclusive education. Scientific and practical conference. MSHU and NARFU representatives participated. During the conference the participants listened to the reports reflecting the best practices of inclusive education in the regions, technologies of inclusive education, the basic models. Education for Tomorrow: Shaping the future of Nordic education conference. Katja Norvapalo and Mare Rantaniemi participated in the conference. The conference gave valuable review to the state of Nordic education and to the future of Nordic education and a chance for networking.
