RUCHIN in brief

Lifelong Learning Programme- Erasmus
Time frame:
1.10.2010 – 30.09.2012 

Project aims to create cross-disciplinary knowledge of Russian and Chinese economic law through fostered interchange and cooperation. The purpose of the project is to develop pedagogy and practises for the delivery of the integrated doctoral programme, increasing the quality and attractiveness of European education.

The Cross-Disciplinary Doctoral Programme in Contemporary Russian and Chinese Economic Law in a Global Economy will prepare European level legal experts to be competent in three different legal cultures. The programme will comprise of core and specialisation studies in Chinese and Russian economic law and dissertation planning and research specific seminars.
A bridging syllabus will be offered for students coming from backgrounds of economics and/or international business.

RuChin Partners' Meeting and Round Table discussion Sept. 4-7th (31.8.2012)

September 4th-7th, the final partners' meeting regarding creation of a Cross-Disciplinary Doctoral programme in Contemporary Russian and Chinese Economic Law in a Global Economy (RuChin).

Study Trip Russia (11.6.2012)

Yekaterinburg 11 – 13th of June 2012 RUCHIN partner members gathered at Ural State Law Academy for a second study trip. There partners were granted the ability to visit and tour the Academy as well sit in on a law related course, tour the dormitories and learn about the Academy's language services.

Study Trip China (5.11.2011)

Beijing, China 5 – 10th of November 2011, RUCHIN partner members, including representatives from the University of Lapland, visited RUCHIN associate partners in China. There partners had a chance to view two universities in the Beijing area that focus on Chinese Law as well as meet students and faculty.

Partner Meeting in Maribor, Slovenia (28.6.2011)

From 28th to 29th of June 2011, RUCHIN partners gathered at Maribor University for the project's 3rd Coordination Meeting.

Logo Competition (15.5.2011)

Rovaniemi, Finland. To promote RUCHIN a Logo Competition was held at the University of Lapland during May 2011. The competition was marketed to Lapland's Faculty of Art students who were given the task of designing a logo for RUCHIN.
