In brief

Urals State Law Academy (USLA) is one of the major law universities in Russia. It is recognized as a leading provider of law education in the Urals. USLA prepares well-qualified specialists for government agencies, bodies of Justice, bodies of prosecution service, law enforcement agencies, tax inspectorates, local authorities and other state and private organizations. USLA is one of the leading law research centers in Russia. Lecturers of USLA are authors of many Russian federal and regional laws. The Academy is an unique institution not only for Yekaterinburg, a city with the population of 1,5 million people, but for the whole Russia as well. USLA realizes joint international projects in the sphere of higher law education and law studies with foreign universities and research organizations from many countries. For example, USLA cooperates with universities of Germany, France, Finland, Switzerland, Austria and China.

Role in the project

Urals State Law Academy’s role in the project will be an advisory role. We will contribute to the creation of mechanisms of international academic mobility and to realizing a joint diploma doctorate program with a strong focus on Russian Law. We will contribute mainly to the development of the curriculum and pedagogies, as well as develop research cooperation with companies/organization in in Russia for students of the programme to conduct research for. However, management and dissemination will also be something that will receive our time and effort.
