Master of Laws
The basic studies consist of principles of science, introductory courses in law, history of law and the state, and structure and principles of the legal system. The subject studies comprise several blocks, e.g., economic relations, environmental and criminal law. The advanced studies concentrate on a few central problems that require special juridical knowledge. Legal informatics has gained a significant position in instruction and research. Special emphasis is placed on the processing of legal data.
Applicants for the Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws programmes must have a good command of the Finnish language. The same entrance requirements apply both to Finnish and international applicants. The entrance examination is in Finnish.
