Research in applied psychology

The focal areas of research in applied psychology at the University of Lapland are wellbeing at work, changing work, the psychology of leadership, experiential organization, and the psychological development of adulthood. The research utilizes experience research methods based on psychological knowledge. Research projects are often carried out in cooperation with the discipline of administrative sciences.

The targets of research include the meaningfulness of work, personnel’s wellbeing at work, applications of positive psychology in people management, construction of work communities, leadership in organizations, leader development, self-management, experience and happiness theories, and the disciplinary identities of the social sciences.
