Study Structure and Content


Comparative Social Work Programme (120 ECTS) Degree Structure:


  • International Joint Studies 80 ECTS (courses 40 ECTS + thesis 40 ECTS)
  • University of Lapland courses 40 ECTS

The master's degree programme in Comparative Social Work (CSW) consists of two years of studies, a total of 120 ECTS credits. Studies include joint courses (80 ECTS), which are planned and realised together with partner universities, and compulsory studies (40 ECTS) that are required for the master’s degree at the university where the student is accepted and registered.
 
The programme is based on cross-border education where teaching is carried out in cooperation with all partner universities in the BCBU network in Finland (Rovaniemi, Oulu) and in Russia (Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, Petrozavodsk).
