Sociology also often brings out problems in society and interpretations to social phenomena that differ from the prevailing views. As a general social science, sociology is also a good choice for a minor subject.
Sociology qualifies one to work in various positions in the private sector, the public sector, and non-governmental organizations. A large number of sociologists are employed within research, teaching, communication, organizations, and administration.
Graduates may work for example as researchers, teachers, project managers, designers, lecturers, journalists, social secretaries, rehabilitation instructors, librarians, or editors-in-chief.
