The two-year EMACIM Master Programme offers you modern expertise and education where tourism, culture, art and design, and management are seen equally significant elements of cultural industies.

The EMACIM Master Programme provides you with an in-depth understanding of cultural productions by combining theoretical knowledge with analytical skills and practical implementation.

Ready to apply?

The EMACIM Master Programme (120 ECTS) has two major subjects:

 

  • tourism research
  • audiovisual media culture.

 

The programme consists of major subject studies at the home faculty and a study module of minor subject studies in another field (30 ECTS). If you major in tourism research, you will spend a semester in the Faculty of Art and Design completing the 30 ECTS study module in arts. And if you major in audiovisual media culture, you will spend a semester in the Faculty of Social Sciences completing the 30 ECTS study module in tourism research or business studies.

The degrees offered are:

 

  • tourism research: M.Soc.Sc (Master of Social Sciences)
  • audiovisual media culture: MA (Master of Arts)

 
To be eligible for the EMACIM Master Programme, you must have:

 

  • BA or equivalent degree in relevant field of study
    • in tourism studies or in tourism-related field for the major in tourism research
    • in media, design, culture, communication, art, music, dance or theatre for the major in audiovisual media culture
  • good command of English language.
