Software Licenses

Corel and Microsoft’s student licenses are managed in Rovaniemi by Lapin Systema, Aittatie 9, phone (016) 330 9000. The same licenses are available at lower prices on internet shops.

SPSS 12 data analysis software

Annually renewable licenses for SPSS are free to students. The license period starts on the first of February and ends on the last day of January the following year. The license covers both University of Lapland students and staff. The license is available from the Helpdesk (proof of ID required). Licenses cannot be sent by post. The installation CD and instructions may be borrowed for 2-3 days.                   

Microsoft programs

In Rovaniemi, Microsoft has licensed Lapin Systema to manage university and polytechnic student licenses. Those fitting into the following categories are eligible for obtaining a personal student license:
• students who are enrolled attending a Finnish university or polytechnic for a minimum of one semester
• anyone officially registered as having study rights
• open university students, who have enrolled to complete a minimum of 15 study credit units
Acquisition of the software requires proof of ID and student status from the customer.
