LANGUAGE CENTRE
The Language Centre of the Lapland University Consortium (LUC) is in charge of teaching languages and communication skills. The Language Centre plans and implements teaching of languages, cultures, and communication skills in accordance with curricula and the decrees on the degree system and in accordance with the needs of various fields. We also provide minor subject courses and elective courses starting from the elementary level.
The LUC Language Centre encompasses the language and communication teaching units of Kemi-Tornio University of Applied Sciences, the University of Lapland, and Rovaniemi University of Applied Sciences. It functions in the premises of all three universities, forming a unique centre of language and communication expertise in Lapland.
The benefits of the joint language centre include teaching cooperation, united translation and proofreading services, and enhanced possibilities for versatile service, project, and research activities.
