Finnish for LUC personnel (autumn 2011)

The LUC Language Centre is offering a Finnish course for international members of personnel within the Lapland University Consortium.

The participants of this course should already have some competence in Finnish, since the target level of the course is B1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The objectives of the course are to strengthen the participants’ existing competence in Finnish, to broaden their vocabulary and to go through basic grammar structures. Oral skills are also central, the focus being especially on speech activation and everyday communication in Finnish. In addition, attention is paid to reading comprehension of everyday texts. The participants are requested to state some of their personal learning needs in the registration form.

Target group: international personnel within the LUC, who already have some competence in Finnish
Scope: 36 hours (3 hours / seminar)

Time: September 15 – November 28, 2011

Form of teaching: contact teaching in Rovaniemi (Arktikum, Pohjoisranta 4)

Course fee: 150 euros / person (Except for the personnel from the University of Lapland, since
the Administration Unit will take care of the course payments in a centralized way.)
