Virtual learning environments scaffolding problem based learning

The thesis focuses on studying the effects of the combination of virtual environments and problem based learning. This problem is studied through the following questions:
Do virtual discussion boards, Wiki or other virtual environments affect learning in problem based learning environment?
How do the students’ reflections mirror this effect?
How do the students assess the usefulness of virtual environments in their learning process?
Does the use of virtual learning environments have a positive effect on the learning outcomes of students?
