The meaning of assessment in practical training during problem-based physiotherapy education.

The research focuses on student assessment in the context of practical training and problem-based physiotherapy education. The aims of the investigation are to describe and analyse the experiences of physiotherapy students, teachers and clinical supervisors about assessment in practical training. The study will be conducted at two different polytechnics during 2006-2008. The data collection is based on interviews, written assessment documents and reflective writings of the research informants. The data will be analysed qualitatively.
