Outi-Illuusia works as a graphic designer, visual artist and a writer. She has also been performing in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, and Germany, and in her works she is dealing with video, poetry and language, making both solo and group performances. Recently, she has debuted as a teacher, too.

Slämärit starts again this year; Outi-Illuusia works again as a coach for one of the teams.

Poetry slam SM: Outi-Illuusia makes it to the finals in Helsinki.

June 2008
Unelmien kirjasto at Kamppi, Helsinki presents poetry videos, including Outi-Illuusia's Rilkecoaster.

May 2008
Faraway voices, a website project from Holland. The "International mother language" site presents one poet per language by video clips. Virtual poetry slam! Illuusia writes and recites in Finnish.
The band Täydellisyys performs at Là-Bas performance event on 11th at 8 pm and on Kolina-klubi, Rajasaari (Helsinki) on 23rd.
Täydellisyys is putting up a Myspace site.

March 2008
Slämärit comes to and end this year as the teens from 8 Finnish schools take part in a poetry slam competition in Sello-sali, Espoo. One of Outi-Illuusia's student groups win the honorary mention: "The most genuine message" ("Aidoin sanoma").

The project takes place in Groningen, Netherlands, and is arranged and supported by Pavlov Media Lab. Papperpuu provides live poetry in Kauppayhtiö, Rovaniemi. The poetry matinée afternoon is arranged together with some green politicians and the poems are accompanied by video screen illustrations.

An organization for verbal art is established in Rovaniemi. It is decided that the name will be Papperpuu ry. The group hopes for growth with new active members and promotes performing, experimenting and finding new ways to attach poetry and other wordly art into society and for the audience to see.
The first poetry club is held in Pub Tupsu, Rovaniemi, with Papperpuu members and guests from Huutomerkki, Oulu. It becomes a success.

October 2005
Outi-Illuusia and an Icelandic composer Thorkell Atlason finally finish their first common piece of music, Meriphera. It is a piece for a mixed choir and will be performed by Coro Odysseia from Portugal.

September 2005
A Finnish funding organization Idmanin Säätiö provided Outi-Illuusia with a grant to support her studies in University of Lapland, Rovaniemi. The studies focus on graphic design as a major subject.

Outi-Illuusia took part in a Nordic symposium of performing arts Space&Composition. The symposium included lectures, workshops and other activities and was organized by NordScen (Nordisk Center for Scenekunst) and The Danish National Theater School. The trip was supported by Nifca.

Participating in THE VOICE OF SOUND / DADAilylife, a NordScen project. The project included one month of anonymous work in a digital working space in the Internet, Scenerum.org, after which the working group of 10 people gathered in Museet for Samtidskunst (Museum of Contemporary art) in Roskilde.

MUSTA TUNTUU
(’I FEEL’.), a group exhibition in Rauma Art Museum. Outi-Illuusia presented a crocheted installation, made in collaboration with visual artist Minna Alanko. They used a group name Mc Plotte Svärd.

BLIND SIGHT, an exhibition for visual/sound artists, curated by Annika Dahlsten, Eddie Summerton and Norman Shaw, presented sound art with CD covers. An exhibition of 50 artists in total was taken to Galleria Titanik, Turku, Dundee Contemporary Art Centre and Gallery of Royal Academy of Art, Edinborough.
