- a bachelor’s degree in the field of tourism OR a bachelor’s degree from another field of study containing the minimum of 60 credits (basic and intermediate level studies) in tourism

Supplementary application round for TourCIM MA programme 15.-29.5.2018. Read instructions here!
Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Lapland is organizing a supplementary application round for Tourism, Culture and International Management Master´s degree programme in May for study places that were not filled during the primary application round. There are eight study places available in the supplementary application round. Please note that applicants selected must be ready to start their studies in the end of August.
Next application period for autumn 2019 intake for TourCIM programme will take place in December 2018 – January 2019.
Applying in a nutshell:
1. Check your eligibility
2. Start collecting the required enclosures
a. Check the requirements for the enclosures from the Guidebook for supplementary round and our webpages. Pay special attention to the requirements on application documents and country-specific requirements.
3. Fill in the application
a. Applications are filled in and submitted through the national Studyinfo Portal: Link to Studyinfo Portal and application page - application form is available 15.-29.5.2018
4. Submit your online application and send the required enclosures only via post in paper format
a. Submit your online application by the end of the application period: 29th of May 15:00 o´clock. Send your enclosures in paper format by post and make sure they arrive to University of Lapland by 12th of June 15:00 o´clock. Send them to Internationalisation Services, University of Lapland, P.O. Box 122, FI-96101 Rovaniemi, FINLAND
5. Application period ends 29th of May
6. Student selections are made by June 28th
7. Accepted students need to confirm their acceptance of the study place offered them and register at the University by July 10th
8. Studies begin with an orientation week 21st of August
The Master’s degree programme in Tourism, Culture and International Management (TourCIM) has been created to meet the demand for professionals with the ability to develop and execute responsible tourism. The two-year Master’s degree programme provides you with knowledge and tools necessary to work on the interface between the production and consumption of tourism experiences. The TourCIM programme offers an exceptional combination of current issues in tourism, management and cultural studies.
The TourCIM programme is based on the belief that an in-depth understanding of the values underlying business strategies and consumption practices are essential for the development of responsible tourism.
