“Digital society and career competences of PhD graduates”
The digital society is all around us. Bitcoins, Artificial intelligence
and robotics are parts of our lives in the economic, social and
political and governmental area. There is no career without knowledge
about these developments. Working in governmental administration or
business also requires knowledge about the ethical and legal aspects of
the digital communication and applications that connect systems and
people all over Europe and the world. What are the consequences for the
PhD graduates of today, how do they deal with this and did they miss
introduction into those developments during their doctorate studies?
In this PhD career café we will hear three interesting presentations. Professor of practice
Rob van den Hoven van Genderen will give an introduction to the European ethical and legal requirements concerning AI.
Titta Jylkäs (PhD, senior service designer at frog)
will talk about her experiences in “AI and Service Design: Immersing
into a new field as a designer".
Linus Schaaf (PhD, senior service designer at
Volkswagen commercial vehicles) will share his expertise about
“Human-centered, accelerated decision-making by application of digital
co-creation”, using 10X-Service Design Lab as an example.
