RUCHIN is an international interdisciplinary doctoral programme in Contemporary Russian and Chinese Economic Law in a Global Economy.

The aim of the programme is to prepare European level legal experts to be competent in different legal cultures. We intend to have doctoral graduates from European academic institutions who will work predominantly in European small and medium size enterprises and European economic organizations, having gained in-depth knowledge and expertise of and within the Russian and/or Chinese and/or Indian Economic law and business contexts.

RUCHIN programme is developed and currently implemented in partnership of five universities (University of Lapland, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Maribor University, Mykolas Romeris University, Ural State Law Academy and one associate partner from China (Renmin University).

WHY TO BECOME A RUCHIN STUDENT                                           

1. Students are offered an opportunity to combine academic studies with the practical business environment. 

2. The one semester internship period included in each partner country is an excellent opportunity for the PhD student to become acquainted with a possible future employer.

3. Programme offers a possibility for one semester of mobility to one of the RUCHIN partner universities. RUCHIN PhD students can choose from a variety of study and research modules for 30 ECTS during their period abroad.

4. RUCHIN is a PhD programme that awards double degrees by university pairs (recognized by all partners within the consortium). The Diploma Supplement will detail the taught part of the RUCHIN doctoral programme and will mention the RUCHIN programme by name.
