UArctic Thematic Network on Teacher Education is organising a conference "Developing an Inclusive School" on March 26-27 in Rovaniemi, Finland. Registration to the conference is now open. The conference is open for researchers, teacher educators and teachers.
The conference is two-days event and the conference programme is built under two themes: Inclusive teacher education and Inclusive pedagogies. The first day includes two keynote speeches, launching an eBook "Including the North: a Comparative Study of the Policies on Inclusion and Equity in the Circumpolar North" and
a symposium with three speeches and discussion. The second day consists
two keynote speeches, a presentation and workshops. Each participant
can choose two workshops, which are focusing on the School profiles to
facilitate inclusive education in. On the evening of the second day City
of Rovaniemi is hosting a reception at the Rovaniemi City Hall.

The conference is organised in collaboration with projects Supporting together! and Preconditions of transformation of education process in
different educational contexts by applying inclusive education
strategies. The book "Including the North: a Comparative Study of the Policies on Inclusion and Equity in the Circumpolar North" is product of Arctic Council's Sustainable Development Working Group's project Teacher Education for Diversity and Equality in the Arctic, hosted by UArctic Thematic Network on Teacher Education.
