Jouko Nuottila is a postdoctoral researcher focusing on Intellectual Property Rights, IP Management and Sustainability. He holds a Doctor of Science (Technology) degree from the University of Oulu, the major subject being Industrial Engineering and Management. In his doctoral research, he studied forms of flexibility in project contracting with a particular interest in agile development methods and agile project management. He has also studied cooperative product development, and contributed to the literature of proactive contracting. Currently he teaches the course Contract Drafting and Negotiations at the Faculty of Law. He has also studied social sciences, in which he specialised widely in the topics of sustainability. He has industrial experience in new technology development, technology management and licensing at Nokia Corporation. In addition to the academic work, he contributes in the network of companies on sustainability topics.
