• For the nominations in SoleMOVE, send us your valid e-mail address to incoming@ulapland.fi. We will create a user account and send your username and password for you to nominate through the system safely.
• If you must nominate through e-mail, please use our secure email and send the information to incoming@ulapland.fi.

Exchange student application deadlines

• May 15 for autumn semester and full academic year
• October 15 for spring semester

Publication of results
Applicants will be informed of acceptance/rejection latest

EXCHANGE STUDENTS SELECTION CRITERIA

Faculty of Art and Design
The faculty departments will make the decision on students acceptance. Students who meet the eligibility criteria, usually the required language skills (English B2), are selected based on previous studies, study plan, portfolio and motivation. If there are more applications than places available we will negotiate with the student and offer an alternative program/plan if possible.

CREDITS
1 credit = 1 ECTS cr.
Studies 30 cr. per semester / 60 cr. per academic year
Course offer for exchange students is in English

GRADING
The grading scale comparable to the ECTS grading scale with
the exception that it is not based on the distribution of the
different grades.

Grading of course follows two basic practices:

1) Pass or Fail

2) Applying the following grading scale:
5 = excellent: outstanding performance with only minor errors
4 = very good: above the average standard but with some errors
3 = good: generally sound work with a number of notable errors
2 = satisfactory: fair but with significant shortcomings
1 = sufficient: performance meets the minimum criteria
