After completing Bachelor of Laws, our students go on to pursue the higher university degree programme leading to the Master of Laws degree. It is a general legal degree, which takes approximately two years to complete and prepares our students for a career in the judicial system, as well as for tasks in administration and business life. Please note that the degree programme is offered in Finnish.

The Finnish National Agency for Education may recognise higher education studies completed abroad as comparable to a Master of Laws degree completed in Finland. If you have received a conditional decision on the recognition, requiring the completion of supplementing higher education studies, you can apply for the right to pursue the studies at our university. Please enclose a copy of the conditional decision to your application.
You can apply for the right to study through the Open University, avoin (at) ulapland.fi.
