The members of the University Collegium are chosen through an election, except for the student members who are appointed by the Student Union.

• to decide on the number of members and the term of the Board;
• to choose external members to the Board;
• to confirm the appointment of members chosen to the Board by the University community groups;
• to dismiss a Board member on the basis of a proposal submitted by the Board;
• to appoint the University’s accountants;
• to confirm the financial statement and the annual report of the University;

• to decide on discharging the Board members and Rector from liability;
• to decide on bringing an action for damages against a Board member, the Rector, or an financial auditor;
• to decide on the dismissal of a Board member pursuant to section 65, subsection 3 of the Universities Act.
