The members of the University Collegium are chosen through an election, except for the student members who are appointed by the Student Union.

Tasks of the University Collegium

to decide on the number of members and the term of the Board;
to choose external members to the Board;
to confirm the appointment of members chosen to the Board by the University community groups;
to dismiss a Board member on the basis of a proposal submitted by the Board;
to appoint the University’s accountants;
to confirm the financial statement and the annual report of the University;

to decide on discharging the Board members and Rector from liability;
to decide on bringing an action for damages against a Board member, the Rector, or an financial auditor;
to decide on the dismissal of a Board member pursuant to section 65, subsection 3 of the Universities Act.
