Remember to register!

Registration as an attending student

Pay the Student Union membership fee via your online banking service (if you have a Finnish bank account) or by credit card.
Enrollment information will uppdate to the university student registration system the next day.

If you do not have a Finnish bank account, you may pay the Student Union membership fee by credit card or cash at the Student Union office. If you wish to pay the membership fee using a non-Finnish bank account, please see the bank account details on the Student Union web pages. Please note that you will be required to present proof of payment either by sending a copy or the payment receipt (or an equivalent document showing the transaction) by email at [opinto (at) ulapland.fi] or by presenting the document in person at the Student Services office (wing E, ground floor). Registration as a non-attending student
If you are registering as non-attending ("absent"), you should do so during the registration period either through the OILI Service or by email at [registration (at) ulapland.fi]. When your registration status is non-attending, you do not need to pay the Student Union membership fee. You can change your status to attending outside the registration period by contacting the Student Services.
Students paying a full or partial tuition fee
Students required to pay a full or partial tuition fee should pay both the tuition fee and the Student Union membership fee before registration as attending for the next academic year. Registration status as attending is a prerequisite for signing up for courses and earning credits. Two payment methods are available:
- Pay the fees via bank transfer as indicated on the invoice you have received from the University.
- Pay the fees by credit card at the University Library service desk. Please take your invoice with you.
Whichever method you choose, please remember to keep a receipt of your transaction. You are required to present it to the Student Services and to the Student Union. The Student Union membership fee may also be paid by bank transfer or by credit card at the Student Union office. Read more about these payment options on the Student Union web pages.

The registration status as attending is a prerequisite for earning credits. You may also pay the Student Union membership fee by bank transfer, credit card or cash at the Student Union office. Read more about these payment options on the Student Union web pages.
