University of Lapland arranged its sixth conferment of degrees involving all four faculties 13 - 18 May 2024.
Conferring Master’s, Doctor’s and Honorary Doctor’s degrees on graduands is the most solemn and prestigious ceremony of a university. Conferment has long traditions in the university world; the first one in Finland was held more than 300 years ago.
