Arctic Centre’s Ice Researchers visiting China

Arctic Centre ice researchers Emilie Beaudon and Martina Schäfer are leaving next week for the Beijing Normal University (BNU) in China. During their stay in China, they will participate to an international workshop on ice flow modelling.
Beaudon and Schäfer are part of the Ice and
Climate research team at the Arctic Centre’s Global Change research
group. The leader of the team, Professor John Moore is working at the
moment part time in China, at the BNU (College of Global Change and
Earth System Science) and part time in Finland at the Arctic Centre of
the University of Lapland, Rovaniemi.
Professor Bruce Forbes,
leader of the Global Change Group at the Arctic Centre will also attend
to the workshop as a guest lecturer.
After the workshop week,
Professor Moore and researcher Beaudon will present their recent
glaciological research carried out in the High Arctic at the Tibetan
Plateau Research Institute in Beijing.
