The Arctic Yearbook 2015 was released at the Arctic Circle Assembly in Reykjavik last weekend. This year, the theme of the book is Arctic Governance and Governing. The editor in chief of the yearbook is Professor Lassi Heininen from the University of Lapland.
The Arctic Yearbook 2015 contains 19 scientific articles as well as 16 commentaries and seven short articles dealing with Arctic governance and governing.
"Regarding the Arctic region, it would be hard to find a theme more important and topical than this. The articles address governance extensively and highlight new perspectives at the local, international, and global levels," notes Professor Heininen.

It comes out once a year, focusing on Arctic politics, geopolitics, security, cooperation, and governance as well as on the development of Northern regions.
