toi/se/us (traslates as them/that/us or otherness) is an exhibition presenting the artworks created by art education students on the course of Advanced Art Prodcution. The exhibition’s theme, they, the unknown and otherness, were selected collectively by the artists, and the artworks are the result of a semester long process.
The theme entails diverse approaches varying from the personal perspective to societal viewpoints. The otherness is simultaneously near and far, the unknown an integral and external part of us; separated and hidden, yet eternally present.
The techniques of the artworks comprise of audio, animation, installation, painting, performance art, drawing, photography and video.
On the International Museum Day, the 18th of May, Arktikum is open from 9am to 6pm and exceptionally the exhibitions are without an entrance fee. Guided tours take place at every hour from 12pm until 5pm.
