Barents Café: How to catch the best photos of the northern lights

13.3.2014

In a late Friday evening in Arktikum, two arctic photographers from AV-Lappi, Timo Veijalainen and Miika Sirkiä, will guide us to the world of nature photos and tell how to catch the best photos of the aurora borealis. Amateur photographer and wilderness guide Pekka Koski will show some pictures of aurora borealis over Rovaniemi. The event is part of the “Scientific tourism and service design” project, coordinated by the Arktikum Science Centre, Arctic Centre at the University of Lapland.

The northern lights evening includes also a visit to the Arktikum Science Centre to get to know the facts and legends about the northern lights and a small evening snack. In case we are lucky and get to see some aurora borealis in the night sky of Rovaniemi, take also your camera with you.

Meet us at the Arktikum’s lobby on 21st March 2014 at 9 pm (from 9 pm to 11 pm). First 50 will fit in; please sign up before 20th March by email: info (at) arktikum.fi. Free entrance.
