The Arctic Doctoral Program Arktis opens a call for five status student positions starting 1 April 2012.
The
positions are intended for doctoral students with a higher university
degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) who will conduct their PhD degree
at the Universities of Lapland, Oulu, Helsinki and Eastern Finland at
in one of the disciplines of the Arctic Doctoral Program.
The
theme of the multidisciplinary Arctic Doctoral Program is Social and
Environmental Impacts of Modernization and Global Change in the Arctic.
The disciplines of the school are environmental politics, environmental
economy and environmental law, political science and international
relations, cultural studies, sociology, biology, ecology and cultural,
economical and physical geography.
The written applications should be sent by 1 March, 2012 at 13:00.
