17.11.2015
The Faculty of Law at the University of Lapland and the Finnish National University Network for Social Work (Sosnet) launches collaboration in social work and law between Finland and China. The network is coordinated by the University of Lapland and has just received 43 363 euro project funding from Centre for International Mobility CIMO for the development of collaboration in social work and law between China and Finland.
The overall objective of this collaborative two-year project Sustainable Societal Development – regulatory framework and social work in China and Finland is to develop and deepen our understanding the role of legal regulations and practices, and the development of social work in creating and maintaining sustainable societal development in Finland and in China.
The project offers unique opportunities for teacher and researcher exchange between China and Finland. The project partners include the University of Fudan (Shanghai) and the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (Beijing). In Finland the project partners include three Sosnet-network member universities: the University of Eastern Finland, the University of Helsinki and the University of Jyväskylä.
The project will enable students and researchers at the University of Lapland to join the seminars and lectures of the Chinese professors and researchers in the disciplines of social work and law. The two-year project comes to an end in the fall of 2017.
The project is funded by the Asian Network Programme in CIMO.
