The Arctic Centre at the University of Lapland will organize open research seminar “Towards Arctic Security: Northern Aspects of Human Security” on Thursday 25th February 2016 at 10. The seminar will open the concept of human security for example from the dimensions of climate change and cyber security.
The seminar is organized by the HuSArctic research project, hosted by
the Northern Institute for Environmental and Minority Law at the Arctic
Centre. The main objective of the project, funded by the Academy of
Finland, is to address human the challenges of the Arctic population
from a different angle, namely from the human security perspective as it
is conceptualized today.
The seminar is open for all and it is
free of charge. The seminar will be held in Thule meeting room in the
Arktikum building, Pohjoisranta 4, Rovaniemi.
