The Aves Ouluensis exhibition presents the beauty of birds with vital and lyrical photos by Lauri Lajunen, the rector of the University of Oulu, and Jari Peltomäki, professional nature photographer. The photo exhibition will take place at the Arktikum Science Centre from 24th of October 2013 to 29th of January 2014.

Both Lauri Lajunen and Jari Peltomäki are experienced bird photographers and nature devotees. Their exhibition is based on their photo book Birds of Oulu Region which was published this spring. All the birds shown in the exhibition photos can be seen in Oulu where the birdlife consists of both arctic and southern species.
