The present volume of Current Developments in Arctic Law (CDAL) comprises twelve papers touching upon a range of issues and providing insightful information on Arctic law and policy today.
The contributions of CDAL include policy papers, short notes on Arctic-related research and developments as well as project reports. They cover topics such as the proposed Arctic Ocean railroad; security concerns relating to the transarctic submarine cable; challenges posed by and prospects for autonomous marine shipping in the Arctic and issues related to multilevel governance and interregional cooperation in the region.
The CDAL is the annual publication series of the UArctic Thematic Network on Arctic Law. The University of Lapland publishes it in cooperation with its Northern Institute for Environmental and Minority Law at the Arctic Centre.
The editor of the volume is Prof. Kamrul Hossain. The volume can be freely accessed from the following link: Current Developments in Arctic Law, Vol. 9, 2021.pdf
