The University of Lapland’s COVID-19 guidelines: The Remote teaching recommendation ends on 31 January 2022
20.1.2022
The recommendation for remote teaching in higher education ends on 31 January 2022. As of 1 February 2022, teaching will be delivered face to face, online, or in a hybrid form, in the format that is most appropriate for the subject.
There is no need to make changes to the teaching arrangements made in accordance with the University of Lapland’s guidelines of 14 January (effective until 22 February 2022), unless the teacher considers it necessary. The teacher in charge of the course is responsible for informing the course participants of the teaching arrangements.
The University will to continue to adhere to the restrictions put in place by the Regional State Administrative Agency regarding the number of people in gatherings. The maximum number of people in public events and gatherings organised in the University’s premises is 20 (effective until 22 February 2022). The COVID-19 passport will not be in use until 31 January 2022. According to the recommendation of the Finnish Institute of Health and Welfare (THL), office work and face-to-face teaching are classified as low risk activities and the maximum number of people permitted to attend a gathering does not apply to teaching situations.
