The Arctic Yearbook offers a new forum to critical discussion on Arctic geopolitics and security. The inaugural edition is themed “Arctic Strategies and Policies”.
The Arctic Yearbook is an international and interdisciplinary peer-reviewed publication, published online. It offers interesting articles on Arctic issues for researchers, students, business life, and decision-makers.
The Arctic Yearbook is published by the Northern Research Forum (NRF) and the University of the Arctic Thematic Network on Geopolitics and Security. The editor is Docent Lassi Heininen from the University of Lapland, and managing editors are Heather-Exner Pirot from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and Joël Plouffe from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM), Canada. The editorial board includes, among others, Dr. Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson (Honorable President of Iceland), Dr. Gustaf Lind (Arctic Council SAO Chair), Ms. Diana Wallis (MEP & Former Vice-President of the EU Parliament), and Dr. Kari Laine (Director of the Thule Institute, University of Oulu).
