Specialised in themes related to commercial law, the Institute of Commercial Law at the University of Lapland (ICLU) is one of the three institutes operating at the Faculty of Law. It was established in spring 2000 and aims to become a centre of excellence on the basic research of business law.
Our main task is to promote teaching in commercial law and develop learning environments in the field of business law. We have launched new learning methods, including a business game (Business Law in Practice) and a practical course on contract law.
