At our faculty you can pursue the Licentiate of Laws and Doctor of Laws degrees. You can decide whether to take postgraduate studies on a part-time or a full-time basis.
A large part of the studies is comprised of independent work, in other words, writing your licentiate thesis or doctoral dissertation. The targeted completion time of the studies, if undertaken on a full-time basis, is four years for the doctoral degree and two years for the licentiate degree.
Full-time postgraduate students are either employed by our faculty as researchers or fund their studies with independently acquired grants. Full-time students often aim directly for the doctoral degree and pursue an academic career after graduation.
