Applying to the program and supporting documents
The program can only accommodate a limited number of participants. Therefore, acceptance will be based on a review of each applicant’s application including his/her qualifications to meaningfully participate in the program (educational background, experience, and statement of why she or he wishes to participate in the program), the timeliness of the application, and the overall composition of the class. Each applicant should complete the entire application form and submit it and all supporting materials by the due date (see section on "Applying"). Incomplete applications will not be processed.
Educational background
Participants are expected to have a sufficient background in social work
or the human services (such as University level course work and work
experience) that will enable them to participate actively in the
program. This is not an introductory course.
Language requirements
The language of the program is English.
Participants for whom English is not a first language must have a
relatively high level of comprehension and expression.
Applicants can expect a decision by email within two weeks after their
completed application is received. Accepted applicants are required to
confirm their intent to enroll in the program within two weeks of
receiving their acceptance. They also will be required to submit their
travel itinerary no later than April 16, 2018. Failure to submit this
information may result in a revocation of acceptance.
