UArctic Thematic Network on Teacher Education for Social Justice and Diversity in Education organises an online seminar on Monday, 8 February 2016 around the theme of Indigenous education and research.
The seminar consisted of two 20 minute presentations by Ms Rauna
Rahko-Ravantti and Professor Tuija Turunen from the University of
Lapland, Finland. It focused on Indigenous topics. First, Rauna
Rahko-Ravantti shared her doctoral research titled "Sami teachers in
Finland: A qualitative research on Sami teachers’ everyday life and
agency". Then Tuija Turunen will talk about the theme "What can we learn
about Indigenous research methodologies: Yarning as an example".
