Thematic groups and symposiums

SUBMISSION OF THEMATIC GROUP AND SYMPOSIUM PROPOSALS

The sustainability transition requires new and creative thinking as well as solutions from education and research to lay the foundation for a sustainable society. The FERA Conference invites participants to discuss current themes that can collectively help build a sustainable and global future. We welcome proposals for various research thematic groups and symposia related to the theme of the days.

Important dates

1 April – 19 May Submission of pre-seminar, thematic group and symposium proposals

2 June Notification of approval of pre-seminars, thematic groups and symposia 

2 June Registration opens

6 June – 1 Sept Submission of abstracts for thematic groups

15 September Notification of acceptance of abstracts

22 September Deadline for early-bird registration

12 October Deadline for registrations

5 – 7 Nov FERA Conference on Education 

THEMATIC GROUPS AND SYMPOSIUMS

Thematic groups

In thematic groups participants present and discuss ongoing or finished research in 90 minute sessions. Generally one session includes three presentations. Abstracts submitted to the thematic groups will be reviewed by thematic group leaders.

There are only a couple of thematic group descriptions in English (links below), but you may submit your abstract in English in any group.

Symposiums

Symposia are generally 90 minutes long including 3-4 invited presentations. Those proposing the symposia are also responsible for planning and arranging the symposia.

Posters

In poster exhibition participants have a possibility to present and discuss ongoing or finished research with the same scientific criteria as in paper sessions. Posters can be presented either by one person or a research group.
