We can extend the validity period of your user account, if your employment relationship is only temporarily interrupted, or your faculty or unit has another good reason for continuing to provide you with our university’s electronic services. You may also be granted an extension if you continue working at our university with external funding as a researcher or a professor emeritus/emerita after your employment relationship has ended. In this case your user account will remain unchanged, as will the services linked to it, such as your email.
If you undertake an unpaid position at our university after being a student here, the validity period of your student account will not be extended but you will be provided with a personnel u-username.
The person in charge at the faculty (dean, administrative manager) applies for the extension by filling out the application form (‘Käyttäjätunnuksen voimassaoloajan jatkohakemus’) found in Intranet and sending it to servicedesk (at) ulapland.fi.
