I work as a PhD researcher at the Faculty of Law, University of
Lapland. In my dissertation, I examine the overall assessment used in
considering a sufficient ground for dismissal. The overall assessment
leaves a great responsibility to the employer, as there is no
objectively observable threshold for dismissal. Instead, in different
dismissal situations the emphasis of the overall assessment is
different. The research will help employers, employees and judges to
steer our legal culture in the right direction by providing analyzed and
aggregated information on the content of the overall assessment and its
practical application. In addition, I work as a teacher at the
University of Lapland in the field of labor law.
