Iiris Kestilä is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law, University of Lapland. Her research interests include legal theory and legal philosophy but also more practical issues such as research ethics. Her PhD work concentrates on the position of sexual minorities in the legal praxis of European Court of Human Rights and Court of Justice of European Union. Previously she has been working on the project Digital Access to Sámi Heritage Archives where she was responsible for the work-package concerning ethical guidelines.
