Johanna Viitala is a PhD candidate and a researcher in tax law at Ulap/Faculty of Law. Her PhD thesis deals with the national and international taxation of copyrights. Her research connects creative activity, economics and tax law both at individual and societal levels. Her research interests also include tax planning and tax policy, especially upcoming digital tax reform. Creativity, innovation and tax law are strongly connected to welfare in society and maintaining welfare state.
